In order to get Quarky off the ground, we need your help.

Quarky's mission is to ignite the curiosity and creativity of young girls through interactions and storytelling, with a special focus on science. We want girls to be able to see themselves in the world of science, and explore all of its magic and wonders. Maybe in the future, they'll enter a career in science, but regardless, they'll have learned how to think creatively.

Quarky is currently in the process of registering as a non-profit (and potentially a benefit corporation). In the meantime, there are plenty of ways you can help to spread our mission and make science an adventure.

  • BECOME A MENTOR.
We are looking for female scientists and female college students studying science that would be interested in interacting with our players. The mentor role means playing a few games or answering questions. And you might be able to get college service credit.

  • TECH CO-FOUNDER.
Our founder is a multi-disciplinary designer and experienced management executive. She is looking for help in building out the full Quarky infrastructure, which inludes games, chat functionality, posting, videos, and more.

  • SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION.
Building this type of an interactive and educational platform is expensive. For more information on our financials, please contact us at quarky@scienceiscreative.com.

  • SUPPORT US WITH CONTENT.
We need to keep our science content fresh and engaging. We have completed the first installment of our Chapter on Space, and we are looking for interesting science content for our next iteration and our next 6 chapters.

  • SUPPORT US WITH ADVERTISING.
Quarky uses short-form videos interspersed througout our game, and we have a Vimeo channel that we call QTube. We are looking for advertisers targeting the education of tween girls and their parents.

  • SUPORT US WITH INFRASTRUCTURE.
To build our platform we need programmers and content management systems as well as the structure to work within the COPPA privacy laws, as our target audience is under 13.

We are excited to present Quarky as a unique alternative to science education and to combat the unconscious bias in society regarding girls and science. Help us to make our dream venture a reality.
